! 2018 noahs phone case

Step 1

Sign into Tinker cad , go to create new design, then click tinker this.

Step 2

In the top left, click Design > Properties. Give your model a name, and verify that the visibility and license are set as desired.

Step 3

Grab the shapes you need like a “cylinder” is what I used and start designing the base of your phone case model.

Step 4

For the charging hole and the volume buttons and the power button you need to, Drag a hole or cylinder. Hold your left click down and highlight the object and hole. Last, click somewhere on the work area & hit enter. You now have a hole!

Drag in a Box and scale it to encompass the entire phone case. Group this box with the hole boxes and cylinders made in the last step. Convert this composite entity into a Hole, and Group with the case to leave the regions around the charger, volume and power switches.

Step 5

If you would like to put letters on your model it is the exact same steps as step 5 but Add text to your project with the text generator.…Tinker cad has both letter and number shapes that are easy to add to your project, But for a wider variety of fonts, you might want to use the text generator tool. It's located under the Tinker cad Shape Generators, And drag it into our space from there you can we can change the font, add our own text, as well as change the height. The text tool is a great way to customize your project.

Step 6

The final step in Tinker cad is to export to a file for 3D printing. In the Design menu, select Download for 3D printing and you will see the dialog below. Choose the STL file format, and it should download.

Mistakes I had to fix that you may have to also

Mistake 1

So once I had my phone case “ready” to print , I had printed it, and when It was finished the raft was stuck real good to my case and I couldn’t really get it off without breaking my case ,so what I did was turn the heat down a bit and also had bridging turned off the next time I had done it.

Mistake 2

Before I had printed my model I flipped the case and when it printed all the holes were backwards, so I had to take some time and figure out how to switch it all over and there was actually just a button when you press on your model which flips all the holes to the right side.

Mistake 3

Sides were a little off so I easily just made them a couple mili inches higher.
