Foundations of Math 11 & Intro. to Environmental Science 120
Today we decided upon our class logo...congrats to Taylor Jennings as his design is our new logo.  Also celebrated National Sweater Day for some eco-points.  We watched some videos on the Human Footprint and discussed ethical consumerism.  HOMEWORK:  Work on eco-points and continuing researching your topic

We looked at ecological footprints and watched the video on the 'Story of Stuff'.  Check out the links if you want to do you own ecological footprint.  We also wrote a quiz on Fracking.

We finished our discussion of Fracking [gave the 'cons' of the issue and crossword puzzle solution].  Rest of class was spent in the library researching an issue and/or planning eco-challenge activities.  Check the lesson for the list of possible research ideas.  HOMEWORK:  Quiz tomorrow!

See attached lesson for the article...we created a list of pros vs cons and you need to complete the crossword for homework.  Quiz on Wednesday...know the vocabulary, pros & cons and overview of the article.

Submit a logo that you feel will represent our class for this semester (5 eco-points)...extra 5 eco-points will be given if it is selected.  [due by Wednesday]

We watched the video on the Lorax (link is within the lesson) and discussed issues presented in the movie.  Passed out notes on Unit 1 key terms.
