NOTE:  There will be a quiz on Section 6.1 as soon as we finish it which whill probably now take place around Feb. 15.  Be sure to complete daily homework assignments to be prepared for it!

Math 9 - January 18, 2016

Last week, I had said that I would not be posting anything until Feb. 3; however, I decided to prepare for exams a bit differently this year.  Students will be assigned a few questions each night from now until Thurs., Jan. 21.  These will be questions that will specifically help them prepare for each topic covered on their exam.  Tonight, students will practice with concepts from unit 1 ("Rational Numbers") which we will review tomorrow in class. 

Their homework tonight is:  pages 144 /145, #2 and #23abdg

I will continue to check homework regularly this week to ensure students are preparing for next week's math exam.  Thank you!  :)

Topic: Unit 4 - Polynomials

TEST PREPARATION - Due to yesterday's school cancellation, the unit 4 test on Polynomials will be tomorrow, Fri., Jan. 15.  Please study tonight.  The last slide from today's lesson contains suggested practice questions from the textbook.  Good luck!  :)

We will be doing an in-class project on Polynomials on Mon., Jan 18.  We will then do exam review from Tues., Jan. 19 until Fri., Jan. 22.  There will be no new material taught from now until exam week (Jan. 25 - 29); therefore, I will not be posting anything new until Semester II begins on Feb. 3.  Thank you!  :)
