Students had a work period to practice for their test tomorrow.

Homework is to continue working through the review section and practice test in the textbook to prepare for tomorrow!

Lesson is attached. Today we started factoring simple trinomials. Homework is at the end of the lesson, #1-10.

There will be a short quiz tomorrow on expanding and simplifying but there will be no factoring on the quiz!!!

Lesson is attached. Test is on Wednesday and any students who miss will have to write on Tuesday, Oct. 11 only if a note excusing their absence is provided. A mark of zero may be given if no note is provided.

Students must practice for homework. Questions are assigned on the last slide of the lesson.

Extra help is available today at lunch, tomorrow at lunch, and tomorrow after school in preparation for Wednesday's test.

Lesson is attached. Students do have homework this weekend in preparation for their first unit test that will take place next week.

Right now it looks like test will be Tuesday. There is extra help available at lunch on Monday.

The extra help hours have changed. It is now Tuesday and Thursday nights rather than Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Lesson is attached. Today we started to apply what we know about BEDMAS and working with rational numbers to solve problems that involve decimals or fractions and more than one operation.

Students must be able to apply order of operations to solve these problems.

Homework was one example question that they were working on at the end of class.

Period 1- Did slides 1-3 (some students participated in Terry Fox walk so we did not cover new material) Homework is on slide 3.

Period 2- Did slides 1-8 and homework is on the last slide.

Both classes will have a homework check tomorrow and a quiz on prime factorization (including using it to determine GCF & LCM).
