Miramichi Valley High School is offering a new course this fall for French Immersion Students who love the sport of hockey.  The course is a recognized Hockey Canada Skills Academy and will focus on the fundamentals of the game through three on-ice, one classroom and one off-ice training session each week (covid rules may alter this schedule somewhat).  It is offered during 3rd period first semester and open to any FI students regardless of ability or playing experience. Priority will be given to grade 9 and 10s. FI students in grade 9 or 10 will earn a FI Phys Ed 9 or FI Phys Ed 10 credit.  If room permits, students in grades 11 and 12 will earn a Personalized Learning Credit with required outcomes to be determined between the student and Mr. Cameron.   A $100 lab fee will be charged to each student to cover equipment, clothing, and travel costs.  If you are interested in taking this course you must communicate with Mr. Cameron (brett.cameron@nbed.nb.ca) by Tuesday, September 8, 2020, so the administration can select participants and schedules can be finalized.
