The grade nine immunization clinic will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd. It is organized through English class. All grade nine students are eligible for a vaccine against meningococcal infection.  This vaccine offers protection against four types of meningococcal disease:  A, C, Y, and W-135.  Please complete both sections of the consent form and return to your child's English teacher.  If you have any questions, please contact Mary Lou Hudson.

On Tuesday, September 23, from 7 pm -8pm , over 40 universities and colleges will be at MVHS for the annual Atlantic university and college tour. Parents and students of all ages are encouraged to attend and explore the various secondary education opportunities that are available to them. On Wednesday, September 24, grade 11 & 12 students will be involved in walk about sessions.

The fall yearbook sale will take place next week, September 22-26th. It is the only book that captures the year's events, activities, friendships, experiences and memories from MVHS. This is the time to buy if you want to save on the cost - the fall price is $40.00 or $45.00 with a name and four free icons. Yearbooks can be purchased at lunch in the foyer or online at with a credit card. Cheques can be made out to MVHS Yearbook.
Last year we sold out, so remember to order your yearbook early.

The Jostens ring rep. will be in the main lobby at noon on September 29th, October 2nd and October 3rd.

MVHS staff would like to invite parents and students to its Open House taking place on Tuesday, September 23.  It is an opportunity for parents to meet their students teachers and learn about the courses.  PSSC elections start before the Open House.  The schedule is below.  Following the Open House is the AARAO presentation (Universities and Colleges are here to answer questions and share information).

Miramichi Valley High School has been selected by a group called Brilliant Labs to do a technology project for the Fall of 2014. ‘Underwater Robots on the Miramichi’ will allow students an opportunity to explore the Miramichi River with OpenROV robots (Remote Operated Vehicle) and capture live video of their exploration.
