Dialogue New Brunswick

Communication Though Arts

In November, Dialogue New Brunswick, got together a group of teens to create a youth form. The youth form consisted of young Francophones and Anglophones aged 14 to 18. The message was working together they could build bridges between communities. They showed this through five different mediums, with artists from each one. The five mediums were Visual, Documentary (filmography), Photography, Music, and Theatre.

From Miramichi Valley High School, we had two students that attended the form, Sebastian McLaughlin and Robby Cormier. Sebastian was chosen for Documentary, where he and the other participants captured the creative energy, friendship and excitement that went on during the weekend. Robby was chosen for Music, which they say is the universal language, so they chose to write a song about bilingualism. The artists merged their musical talents to create a powerful song.
