The students did some deeper reading of the text today (reading beyond the lines).  We did a carousel group activity, where they were able to discuss their responses and add to the responses given by other groups.  They did a great job! Homework for Periods 4 and 6: Read like a writer - highlight the text for places where you notice effective writing strategies (sensory details, snapshot moments, voice).  Have this completed for Wednesday.
