With the first week of school behind us, I would like to take the time to welcome all parents and students back for another year.
The vital role of parents, guardians and families in the education of their children cannot be underestimated. The support you provide to your children and their school helps create a positive culture which contributes to the success of every student.
While there will always be challenges, I want to assure you that our priority remains on the wellbeing and success of your children. This year we are focusing on how to best support classroom teachers and schools in making the greatest difference for students.
I have the utmost confidence in the ability of the teachers, support staff and principals to ensure the safe and healthy learning environment of your children. I encourage you to be informed and participate in the learning of your children. Through working together we will continue to provide the best possible quality education and experiences for our students.
I wish all parents, guardians, and students a successful and rewarding school year.
Sincerely,
Jody Carr, Minister
Education and Early Childhood Development
