Attention Students - we have been working hard to get ready for your return and we look forward to seeing you!  We have lots of exciting news to share with you today and we will have more information in the days to come. Our school operational plan will be available on September 3, as will those of all other schools in the province. 

Students at MVHS will attend school on alternate days and this will be determined by students’ last name. Students with last names A-L will attend on “Blue Day” and students with last names M-Z will attend on “Gold Day”.  Students will return the week of September 8-11 with a staggered entry:

 Tuesday, September 8 – Blue Day - grade nine students with last names A-L

Wednesday, September 9 – Gold Day – grade nine students with last names M-Z

Thursday, September 10 – Blue Day – all students with last names A-L

Friday, September 11 – Gold Day – all students with last names M-Z

Another change that you will notice this year is with our bell schedule.  Due to the reduced maximum capacity of washrooms and to allow more time for cleaning, we will have ten minute breaks between classes.  Here is our new bell schedule:

 8:30 AM Period 1 Begins

9:35 AM Period 1 Dismissal

9:45 AM Period 2 Begins

10:50 AM Period 2 Dismissal

11:00 AM Period 3 Begins

12:05 PM Period 3 Dismissal

12:05 PM - 12:55 PM Lunch

12:55 PM Period 4 Begins

2: 00 PM Period 4 Dismissal

2:10 PM Period 5 Begins
