Shakespeare used the soliloquy to great effect in order to express some of the 
personal thoughts and emotions of characters

1.  Translate Edmund's soliloquy (lines 1 - 22).  Rewrite it in one of the following 
voices:

a.  a Miramichier

b.  a gangsta rapper (radio friendly edit)

c.  a hippy

d.  a cowboy

Maintain the ideas of Edmund, but use language and diction which fits the voice you 
have selected.

2.  Discuss the following lines:

 25-26    31-36    39    63-65    71-74    75-76   90-92    103-104    118-133   135-136

163    176-181

3.  Why does Shakespeare include the parallel plots?  Why does he want to repeat 
the same idea?
