Our traditional Parent/Teacher, which is scheduled for Thursday evening and Friday morning for Miramichi Valley High School, will be different due to COVID-19.

We are being advised by the Department of Education to not have face-to-face interviews. However, below are two options so parents/guardians can contact me.

The first and best option would be to communicate with me directly through email should you wish to discuss your child’s progress in my class. If you wish to talk to me directly, you can email me with your name and number and a general time that works best for you (within the parent teacher times listed below) and I will try my best to get back to you. My email is kyle.valanne@nbed.nb.ca

Please keep in mind that regular parent teacher interview hours are on Thursday April 15th from 4:00pm- 6:00pm and Friday April 16th from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Microsoft Teams will be used as a way of communicating with students during Home Learning days, as well as for posting home learning assignments, homework reminders, important dates, etc.   All students have access to Teams. Students should check the class team on a daily basis.   At this time, all work will be passed in directly to the teacher.

Reminder that Home Learning days are NOT days off and students should be spending at least 45 minutes a day on their English.

If you have questions or concerns, I can be reached at:  kyle.valanne@nbed.nb.ca

All classes should be accessing Teams for assignment dates and/or criteria.

It is imperative that students participate in Home Learning.  Failure to complete this work is not setting you up for success.  Reminder that Home Learning days are still school days and the expectation is that you are participating.

Please check Teams for an important message.  Thank you.

All students are reminded to check into Teams several times a week.  It is important that any student looking to gain the credit-passed distinction should be completing all work in a timely fashion.

Please check in Teams for some very important information.
