Act 1, Scene 2
Shakespeare used the soliloquy to great effect in order to express some of the personal thoughts and emotions of characters
1. Translate Edmund's soliloquy (lines 1 - 22). Rewrite it in one of the following voices:
a. a Miramichier
b. a gangsta rapper
c. a hippy
d. a cowboy
Maintain the ideas of Edmund, but use language and diction which fits the voice you have selected.
2. What do the last six lines of the scene further add?
3. Why does Shakespeare include the parallel plots? Why does he want to repeat the same idea?
NOTE: Questions 1 is due Monday.
