! 2018 Retropie Arcade Project

March 20 - Project Proposal

Journal Entry #1

March 21 - Currently, I'm in the process of trying to get the wiring done for the joystick and buttons of the arcade.I feel like this might be hardest part of the project, just because I don't have a lot of experience with that type of stuff. Luckily, there's a lot of sites online that have photos of what the wiring should look like. After some trouble transfering ROMs to the Raspberry Pie, I've finally got it nailed down now. Now I can download ROMs at my own house, bring it to school and then put the ROMs on my USB that I use just for ROMs. Hopefully I can get at least 5 games for each console. Once I'm done the wiring, I'm hoping the actual cabinet will be done, so that way I can just mount everything into the cabinet and I'd be go to go. I think I'm almost a good halfway there now. Overall I feel pretty succesfull so far, and maybe once I'm done the major parts of the arcade, I can work on the smaller and finer details, like vinyl stickers and how I aesthetically want it to look.
