Trebuchet

May 24:

So this week I had to re-thread the bolts for the legs because, when I was welding the legs it got to hot and junked the threads. Also got the barring in place and the 3/4 inch bar ready next is to put the arm on. Soon I like to put paint on it and possibly an mvhs sticker rap on it also I ran into some trouble today I went to do the last leg on the rethreading and I broke the bolt off inside the nut so I have to get it out and put a new one in.

This week we got a start on drilling holes and making adjustable legs for the trebuchet, also plan on having it togehter for this week

March 30:

This week we put together the signs for teacher’s class rooms. No update on the trebuchet, goals are to put the arms on it and get it in running order to test and improve any possible defects in the design. And play around with both wooden and metal trebuchet and see the difference.

March 22:

Fame is welded together it is square and straight. Also started to make the support brackets at the bottom of the trebuchet to tighten up the frame and to reduce play, because the wooden model swayed and moved a lot when we did test shots before we started to build the one out of steel. We did this because our goal is to increase accuracy and precision to the trebuchet.

We will be working with the APEGNB project...
