Miramichi Valley High School will be hosting a Haunted House! It will be open to the public on Wednesday, October 30th, 6-8PM, and open to students at lunch on October 30th & 31st. Bring your children for a wonderifly-scary experience! The cost is $3 or $2 with a food item for "Trick or Eat".
Eighteen MVHS Outdoor Pursuits students headed off recently
for a two day excursion that was to include mountain biking, camping, caving
and outdoor cooking in the Hillsborough area. Backpacks were crammed with
supplies and spirits were high in spite of the grey skies and light rain as
they boarded the bus to take them to their destination south of Moncton. Next
week eighteen more of their classmates will follow in their wake on an
overnight hiking trip on the Dobson Trail which is in the same area, and they too will do some cave exploration. The

Annual Rotary Club of Chatham Chili Cook off was held during the Pumpkin
Festival. The winner this year, who has
bragging rights as the Best Chili on the River is O’Donaghue’s Irish Pub. Other
tough contenders were Jungle Jim’s, Tim Hortons, Subway, Rodd Miramichi Hotel
and Rotary Club of Chatham. Hat’s off to
each of the chef’s that created the wonderful chili. A total of $352.00 was raised for the
Breakfast Program with the mystery chili testing and this was increased to $1000

The much anticipated Oktoberfest will begin on Monday, October 21st and continue throughout the week until Friday, October 25th. This week will feature anything to do with pies and rootbeer! Also, this week will not be a dress up week, but it will be filled with many fun activities, so be sure to get a team, and get involved. Also, all activities will be held at lunch, listen to the announcements for more details on location.

Any students who are interested in programs at NBCC are encouraged to get their applications submitted before the November 1st date. Applications will still be accepted after this date, but your best chance at getting into your first choice is to have your application submitted. A
completed application consist of Transcript of marks(requested from the
