The Student Financial Services Branch (SFS) of the Department of Post Secondary Education Training and Labour is pleased to announce a new web based presentation on student financial assistance programs for New Brunswick high school students and their parents. This webinar replaces the annual visitation program and will make it possible for Student Financial Services to reach more students and parents.
Grad fees are sixty one dollars and are due by May 28th. A five dollar late fee will be charged after this date. Please pay with exact change or make cheques payable to MVHS Grad. Students may pay the grad fee to John McNally in the main lobby at noon or to me in the main office.
Safe Grad fees are five dollars and are also due by May 28th. Each grad may bring a guest for an additional five dollars. The fee may be paid in the main lobby at noon or to me in the main office.
The second Policy 409 consultation for parents was held on May 22nd, 2012 at Miramichi Valley High School. At this meeting, the following 3 recommendations were submitted:
1. Build a new K-8 school to house students currently attending Croft Elementary, Harkins Elementary, Gretna Green Elementary and Harkins Middle. This school should be built to incorporate Early Childhood services. Close all existing schools.
The scholarships are open to students entering their first year at New Brunswick's colleges to explore careers in sectors where women and men have traditionally been under-represented. Occupations in which women or men make up less than 25 per cent of the total workforce are considered non-traditional.

MIRAMICHI UNITED SOCCER CLUB is looking for SOCCER PLAYERS born in 1996 & 1997 for the Under 16 boys and girls teams. They should contact Kevin Richard at 627-0426 for more information.
The English Language Proficiency Assessment and Reassessment results are in, and all students who wrote the assessment will receive their individual student report shortly. If anyone requests a review of the Writing Component, it must be received no later than May 22, 2012. There is a $22.60 fee for the review. More information can be found on the student report
The 2012 graduation fee is sixty one dollars. This fee must be paid in order to participate in the prom and graduation activities. The fee can be paid from May 14th to 28th at noon in the main lobby. Mrs. Hudson will also be accepting grad fees at any other time in the main office. There will be a five dollar late fee for anyone who doesn't meet the deadline. The final date that the grad fee will be accepted is June 8th. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Hudson at 627-4083.
