Please open the attachment for the Miramichi Valley High School Operational Plan for the 2021 Graduation taking place on Wednesday, June 23rd at 5:30pm.
Reminder to those students who are attending the vaccination clinic on Tuesday or Wednesday: please bring your Medicare card to school. It will be required at the clinic. Students aged 12-15 must have their parent or guardian fill out and sign the consent form. The bus will be leaving the school at 11:00. Supervision will be provided.
We have learned that there will be vaccination clinics held next week on June 15th, 16th and 17th at the Miramichi Agricultural Exhibition Building, and we have been approved to send any students 12+ years who have yet to receive their first dose.
ASDN will be busing MVHS students to and from the clinic on June 15th and the 16th for those wanting to get the vaccine. Staff supervision will be provided. Students who are 12-15 years of age will require consent from a parent or guardian.
We are forwarding the attached letter to you on behalf of Mr. Mark Donovan, Superintendent, in preparation for the vaccination clinics being held next week.
Demonstration of Learning Week will run from Wednesday June 9th to Wednesday June 16th and all assessments will take place in periods 1 and 4. Please open the attachment for more information. Please note that June 16th is the last day of classes for students. Please contact scott.jamieson@nbed.nb.ca for any questions.
We are experiencing some very unusual early hot weather. Due to the continued heat warnings and temperatures forecast for certain regions of our district tomorrow, the following will be the plan for ASD-N on Tuesday, June 8th:
Miramichi Area Schools
Early Dismissal except for Gretna Green School, which will be Open Full Day.
Due to the extreme heat forecast for later today, ASD-N will have an early dismissal in all schools except Gretna Green School and Bonar Law Memorial School. These schools have functional air conditioning and will remain open with regular instruction for the day.
Busses will arrive at MVHS at 11:45.
This decision has been made for today only. We will continue to closely monitor the situation tomorrow. Thank you!
