Starting at midnight tonight, New Brunswick will go to an orange alert level, as announced this afternoon by the province's Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Jennifer Russell. The Miramichi Public Transit Commission is providing a fully subsidized bus pass to all Grades 9-12 students for spring semester of 2021 school year. Students will be instructed on how to ride the bus, the benefits of choosing public transit, and safety and appropriate behaviour when using the bus. Please open the first attachment for steps on obtaining your bus pass. the second attachment is a permission slip that will also be distributed at MVHS. Miramichi Valley High School is one of seven schools across the country receiving 2020 Share2Care Mental Health Grants.
Physical and Health Education Canada says it launched the Share2Care campaign, aiming to recognize and share unique, innovative, and promising mental health practices that are making positive impacts on students, school staff, and the entire school community.
The seven schools will receive $2000 each to initiate or further advance their mental health initiatives.
Just a quick note to let you know Chartwells (MVHS Cafeteria) will not be offering service until January 11, 2021. They will not open the first week after Christams break.
