The Miramichi Public Transit Commission is providing a fully subsidized bus pass to all Grades 9-12 students for spring semester of 2021 school year. Students will be instructed on how to ride the bus, the benefits of choosing public transit, and safety and appropriate behaviour when using the bus. MVHS will be conducting its Assessment and Demonstration of Learning from January 22nd to January 29th. This will replace our traditional exam schedule. Please open the attachment for the schedule and more information.
Miramichi Valley High School is one of seven schools across the country receiving 2020 Share2Care Mental Health Grants.
Physical and Health Education Canada says it launched the Share2Care campaign, aiming to recognize and share unique, innovative, and promising mental health practices that are making positive impacts on students, school staff, and the entire school community.
The seven schools will receive $2000 each to initiate or further advance their mental health initiatives.
Just a quick note to let you know Chartwells (MVHS Cafeteria) will not be offering service until January 11, 2021. They will not open the first week after Christams break.

Traditionally, these have been called “baby ads”, but the Yearbook Committee have been calling them “personal ads”, as we encourage you to choose pictures of your child at any age.
Dialogue New Brunswick recently launched The Social Cohesion Lab which aims to assist youth ages 15-30 “to develop projects in our various communities in New Brunswick that are related to social cohesion, affecting economic, cultural, social and political aspects.” They have just announced the cohort of 20 youth from across NB and two of our very own have been selected!
