Ms. Sherrard - Archived 09/23 Notes

Welcome To Our Page

Notes

Parent teacher interviews will be held online or by phone on Thursday, November 18th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and Friday, November 19th from 9:00 to 11:30 am.

If you see INC on the report of a student in my Science 10, Physics 112 or Physics 122 classes, it means the student has one or more incomplete assignments and/or tests.  The student may still complete the work.  Once the work has been completed, the student's mark will be updated.

If you have questions or concerns, you may:

1. send them to me in an email (nancy.sherrard@nbed.nb.ca)

2. send an email to request a phone call or Team Meeting Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

Parents/Guardians,

The Microsoft Teams and OneNote Class Notebook applications are being used for blended learning in my classes.

A “Plan of the Day” is posted every day in the General Channel of every Class Team.  The plan includes reminders, due dates and the work to be attempted/completed by students at home and at school.  Students may post questions in the General Channel or Chat section of their Class Team or send me an email.  Team meetings are currently being used in the Physics 122 class for synchronous learning.  Students have online access to all class notes, examples, and practice sheets in the Content Library of their OneNote Class Notebooks.  They also have their own notebooks within the Class Notebook where work can be posted and assessed..

Please contact me at nancy.sherrard@nbed.nb.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

If today is the first day of Home Learning for you, please see the attachements I posted on Monday, April 6/20.

I received 28 emails yesterday saying "hi", "hey", etc. and sent 28 emails back with a "hi" from me along with the "Next Steps" document.  There were a lot of emails coming and going yesterday so If you sent me an email and I missed it, I apologize.  Please send another today and I will get back to you.

If you are new to Teams, I hope "Next Steps" will help you maneuver our new "classroom".  Some content has been added to "Content Library" for each course with more to come.  I backtracked with content in each course in case you got caught without binders, notebooks, etc. at home.  Jump in wherever you are comfortable.  Everyone doesn't have to be at the same point at the same time. You can work at your own pace.  With that said, you may need to wait for new content if you are working faster than I can put up content for four courses.  Please be patient.

If you need assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.  You can use email or post a note in your class team.  Remember, keep posts school appropriate.  There are several options for obtaining help.  We can figure out what works best for you.  Depending on the number of requests for help, I may not be able to get back to you as soon as I would like.  Please be patient.

I'll be posting this information in each class team for those not checking here today.  In the future, I will use posts in class teams to relay information.

I hope to hear from all of you in Class Teams soon :)

Please read the two attachments to get started with Home Learning.
