Hope this finds you all doing well and staying safe! As I am sure you are all aware, at this time, we are unsure when we will be back in school.
In order to continue with our courses, there will be a few essential items you will need, to allow things to run smooth for both of us!
1) Smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer
2) Access to your school email account and our Microsoft Teams page:
To continue working on your courses for this semester, I plan to use the Teams option, with Microsoft 365. I have sent each of you an email invitation to your school email, to join your class' Microsoft Team - each course has it's own Team.
I recommend downloading the Teams app to your Smartphone as this will keep you updated with notifications of any new activity in the course.
This youtube video below will be useful if you have not yet set up and worked within the Teams environment... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCqq0RB0JQc&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR2ZltYQPMNBeUaSREZNw47uIfcVDIEsKX7mryjYCFQd8Ou0aFtOJue6AEw
I am also attaching a document that outlines the process for accessing your student email login at home. If you are struggling with this, I may also be able to help reset your password if you reach out via email.
Finally, I have also set up the Remind app for all my classes, so you have an option to send me any questions you may have via text. I and several teachers have used Remind regularly, and most of you are already aware of how it works. If your cell provider is Bell or Telus, you don't need to download the app. But if your cell provider is Rogers, you'll need to download the app to your phone first (no worries, it's free!
You then simply send a text to the following number and the code for your class
Text the following number: (902) 812-1103
and the codes for my classes are as follows: (send the code as the message to this number)
Pd. 1 Gr. 12 PE Leadership: @pe12pd1
Pd. 3 Gr. 10 FI Science: @10fisci
Pd. 4 Gr. 9 FI PE: @9fipe2020

Looking forward to hearing from all of you as we venture on this new journey together... keep an open mind... this online learning is new for us teachers as well as you :)
