Miramichi Valley High School will hold an “Open House and Parent School Support Committee (PSSC) Election” on Tuesday, September 27th beginning at 6:30 p.m.
All parents/guardians and students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please bring your son/daughter’s timetable with you.
Weather permitting, the "12" photo will be taken tomorrow afternoon (Monday, September 26th). Your period 4 teachers have been given the details so you must go to period 4 for attendance and to receive the information.
Student pictures will be taken on Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30. The schedule will be arranged through English class. If you do not take English this semester, you will receive an appointment card in homeroom.
The ring lady from Jostens will be here on Tuesday, September 27 and Wednesday, September 28 at lunch in the main lobby. A sixty dollar deposit is required to order. Go to jostens.com to see all of your options and to design your ring.
There will be a free wellness event held on October 1st, 2011 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex in Miramichi.
Activities will include the grand reopening of the tennis courts and James M. Hill Track, a skateboard demo, a tennis demo, lifeguard & synchronized swimming demo, demo by the Miramichi Whitecaps, a healthy barbeque and information booths. Led by Mr. Hallihan, the MVHS Flyfishing Club has been gaining a lot of popularity and attention. The Atlantic Salmon Journal has noticed the progress of this club, and have featured the group in their Autumn 2011 publication. Please see the attachment for the full article.
Would you like to make a contribution to the 2012 MVHS Yearbook? We are looking for Yearbook Committee members from grades 9-12. Our first meeting will take place on Thursday, September 29th at lunchtime. Listen to the daily announcements for more information and reminders!The first Yearbook Sale of the year will take place in the main lobby at lunchtime on September 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. The cost is $40 for a yearbook with a nameplate and $35 for a yearbook without a nameplate.
Anyone interested in joining the 2011 M.V.H.S. swim team is asked to see Ms. Kelly on Wednesday, September 21 at noon to register.
Practices are from 3:40-5:00, and begin on Monday, September 26. Bring your swimsuit, towel and goggles. No competitive swimming experience is necessary.
With the first week of school behind us, I would like to take the time to welcome all parents and students back for another year.
