Report cards went home today.  Please note that Independent Study shows as a subject on the report card, but there is no mark for Independent Study.  Parent teacher times are Thursday from 4-6pm and Friday morning from 9-11:30.  Students are invited to attend.

The MVHS Drama Club presents Agatha Christie's classic murder mystery: A Murder Is Announced.  The play opens tonight at 7PM and runs until Sunday (7PM each night).  Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.  Please spread the word and come out to support the MVHS Drama Club!

On Tuesday Evening March 25th from 6:00-7:00pm Parents and Students are invited to attend our Course Selection Fair in the Cafeteria.  Teachers will be available by department to answer any questions and provide information about their courses.  We also have invited Representatives from Post-Secondary Institutions to provide information to the public on admission requirements.On Wednesday Morning March 26th  Students will be called to the Cafeteria by grade to meet again with teachers and make their selections for next year.  All Course selection forms will be collected and viewed by Guidance

Due to school closures on Thurday, the winter carnival variety show will be incorporated into the day on Friday.  During the time teams are designated to the gym, they will perform their variety show act.  Top acts will be highlighted at the closing ceremonies.  Attached is an updated version or the weeks events.    A reminder of the Shaker taken place from 4-7 in order to wrap up the carnival week.  You must be present all day in order to attend the Shaker.  Attendance will be taken all day and absences will count towards attendance and academic incentives.

The 2014 grad class is selling delicious cookie dough for ten dollars per container (chocolate chip, double chocolate, oatmeal raisin, rainbow, ginger, and shortbread).  Each potential grad should have an order form and all order forms must be turned in to Mrs. Hudson by March 26th. All money raised goes to lowering grad fees.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hudson.

Our Carnival will take place between March 17 and 21.  Attached is a description of the week.  The map is not working well, but is available at the main office.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Jamieson or your homeroom teacher.  Please note that Friday, is a day of school.  Attendance will count and count against any academic incentives for students who do not attend.

Students who have applied or will be to St.Thomas University, can pick up applications for the Harrison McCain Scholarship in the guidance department.The value of the scholarship is $16 000 over four years of study at St.Thomas university. The deadline is March 1st, 2014.     The Kidney Foundation of canada, is pleased to offer a $500 bursary this year for kidney patients or their children. Applications can be picked up the guidance department. The deadline is April 25th 2014.
