M Award applications are currently being accepted at the main office.
If you wish to be considered for an MVHS “M” Award you must meet the following criteria:
You must be in the graduating class of 2014.
You must have made a positive contribution to MVHS in the area of Extra Curricular Athletics, Clubs or Student Council (you do not need to be involved with a group for the four years).
You must attach a 250 word essay justifying your nomination.
Your application must be returned to Mr. Jamieson no later than Friday, May 23, 2014
The 2014 grad fee is sixty dollars. There is a ten dollar discount for those students who do not attend the prom. The fee can be paid from May 12th to 23rd to Meghan Lynch from 11:45 to 12:10 in the main lobby . The fee can also be paid to Mrs. Hudson. An additional five dollars will be charged for those students who do not meet the deadline. The final date that the graduation fee will be accepted is June 6th, 2014. Please have exact amount only and please make cheques payable to MVHS Grad. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Hudson at 627-4083.
There was a small fire in a contained area at MVHS this morning. Students were safely evacuated and the fire department is now on site. Due to smoke in the building students will be sent home at 11:30 this morning.
The Miramichi City Fire Department will not allow students to return to the effected area to retrieve belongings. Administration will have the building open between 10 and 12 on Saturday for students to retrieve their belongings from those classes.
