The College of Craft and Design is having an Open House on Saturday, March 24th from 9am-4pm. There will be tours every hour on the hour, studio demos, and students and staff
on site to answer questions about program options and registering for the 2012 –
2013 academic year. For more information, see attached poster.
Orders will again be taken
for 2012 yearbooks on Friday, March 16th and Monday,
March 19th at lunch time in the main lobby. This is a good chance for students
to pay for a book early so they only have to pick it up in June. This is also a
good opportunity for grads to pay now and help alleviate the financial
strain graduation activities can bring in June. The cost is $42. Cheques can
be made out to "MVHS Yearbook". Parents should also know that they can order books during parent-teacher interviews next week.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Boone's FILA120 classes are involved with a special project with the Carrefour Community Council and Radio MirAcadie 93.7 FM. Students will have their own show on the air from noon to 12:45 on Mondays in which they will discuss what interests them! Student Leaders are Emma Boulay, Kathryn Lynch, Kelsey Rambaran, and Whitney Shannon.
