Miramichi Valley High School and James M. Hill Memorial High School will co-host the 19th annual Pizza DeLight Miramichi Hoop Classic Nov. 18 and 19. The tournament will be a single elimination format with a consolation bracket, and features 8 girls and 8 boys teams from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
The last time to order 2012 Yearbooks will be from November 14-18th at lunchtime. The cost will be $37 or $42 if you want a nameplate. After this, books will only be available to purchase in June for $42 with no nameplate.
The Yearbook Committee is also conducting a number of fundraisers:
Personal Grad Advertisements (Parents and Guardians of potential grads will receive information in the mail)
"Win-a-Page" in the Yearbook ($2 per square) - Students can submit photos of their own

The Variety Show will be taking place on November 30th at 7:00pm.
Variety Show auditions will be taking place on November 16th and November 18th at lunch in the main theatre, so please sign up on the sign up sheet provided on the Student Council Office Door!
MV Idol will be starting with auditions on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011. The auditions will be held in the main theatre at lunch.

There will be an info meeting for all of those interested in being a part of MV Idol in room 5104 at lunch on Monday, November 7th.
MV Idol will be taking place every Monday and Wednesday at lunch, starting on November 14th until November 28th.

EVERYONE from MVHS is welcome to come to the first ever MVHS RALLY! Face Painting, Learning Cheers and Making Posters will start at 6:00pm November. 3, 2011 to prepare for the Rivalry Game against JMH. The game starts at 7:30pm, so everyone will go together to the game to support the MVHS Boys Hockey Team!
The French Club is going on a fun-packed > trip to Quebec- February 2-5, 2012! If interested, please see Mme Dickson, Mme Shannon or Mme Boone this week!! Please help support this trip by buying 50/50 squares from participants- $ 2/ square. There will be a winner of $100 for each 50/50 sheet! Draws will take place at school the week of November 14th! Students received their report cards on Tuesday, November 1 during period 6. Parent and teacher interviews take place Thursday, November 3 from 4:00pm-6:00pm and Friday morning from 9:00am-11:30am.
