Language Arts 9: September 18th

Collected assignments that were due today.   Explored "voice" in writing by comparing 2 different versions of the same song- Close Your Eyes by James Taylor and 2nd version by Carly Simon, Ben and Sally Taylor   Looked at the blog:  The Problem with Young People Today... by Donald Mills to study "voice" in writing.

Welcome to MVHS!

Hello Grade Nines,   Welcome to MVHS.  You are now officially a Pulamoo!  Coming to a new school and meeting new people and teachers can be intimidating, but think of this as an adventure and journey. This year is a new beginning for you!  Remember to work hard towards your goals and enjoy the experience of your high school years.  This is the time to set the stage for your future.  Mistakes will be made along the way, but they are part of life.  The key is to learn from these mistakes and move forward.    Here's to a great year!
