Online Lesson #1

Hi all, first of all you will need to read my posts from April 5th.  This will show you how to access your email and how to join me in using the remind app.  Once you get into your school email, you will be able to access excel through the waffle (again, see my post from April 5).

I am attaching the Excel exercises that we will work on.  There are seven of them but we may not do them all.  I ask you to watch the two videos for the practice one before you attempt to do the first exercise.  You can try the second one as well.  This should keep you busy for a few days.

Online Lesson #1

Hi all, if you haven't done so yet, please look at my post from April 5 to see how to access the Remind App and your email.

I am attaching a review on what we covered in Slope so far after March Break.   (April 6 #1 PDF).

The 2nd PDF is to continue on finding slope by graphing and by using the slope formula.  There will be two vidoes to watch and questions to attempt for each method.  Answers are provided to check your own work.  Please email me at andrea.pleadwell@nbed.nb.ca or for the fastest way to reach me, join me on the remind app as mentioned above.

Video 1 – Reminder how to plot points on a coordinate plane (on graphing paper) - Just a refresher in case you need it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7NKLWXkEEE&t=232s

Video 2 – How to find slope by graphing method (watch to the 2:34 mark and then attempt sheet 1 with answers on sheet 2) and using slope formula (watch the remainder of the video - to do sheet 3 with answers on sheet 4).

Online Lesson #1

Hi all, if you haven't ready my post from yesterday, please do so first.  It is about getting access to the Remind app and your email.

I am attaching a lesson on temperature conversion that we actually went over on March 12th.  At the end, there are some questions to try.  Then answer key is also included.  If you have any questions, please use the Remind app (the quickest way to reach me) or email me.

Do what you can and I will post another lesson soon.

First of all, I want to say that I miss seeing you and who would have ever thought this is how our semester who go.  Things are different but we going to push forward.

First of all, I would encourage all students to access your student email (see instructions and a video before this post).  The instructions and video also show you how you can access Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc, along with the Teams app that some teachers will be using.  You can save any files you create on the OneDrive and you can access them anywhere.  Apps can be downloaded on your devices as well.

I woud also suggest for my students to join the Remind app.  I have one group that I am going to have everyone use.  It is the quickest way to reach me if you have questions because I get a notification right away on my phone.  Mrs. Harding has agreed to help out so she is in the "class" as well.  Parents can join if they wish too.

To join:  Text: @gmf1020 to (289) 205-1015.  (This was my GMF group originally but again, any student can join).  You may have to download the app as well.  I see Mrs. Stewart mentioned that if you are with Rogers, you will need to do this.

You can also reach out to me my email as well.  andrea.pleadwell@nbed.nb.ca

In a couple days, I will be asking every student to send me an email so I can check in on you.

Be safe, be well and try hard with all your classes!  It won't be easy but all your teachers will do their best to assist in this crazy time in our lives.
