Fly fishing club members went on a trip on sunday, September 21st 2014. They traveled up to the Cains River. The students liked this expirence as they caught some Trout, and got footage of their big catch of Miramichi’s signature Atlantic fall salmon! the release they got on their new Go-Pro was beautiful! This club if jam packed with great expirences as you go. please join us!

On Sunday, September 21, the Miramichi Valley High School Fly Fishing Club canoed and fished the Cains River. The students enjoyed a beautiful canoe ride down the Cains river, fly fishing for Atlantic salmon, and a delicious shore lunch over an open fire. In total only one salmon was caught by our very own Mr. Hallihan but there were many other trout and chubs caught by the students.All in all it was a yet another great day on the water!

Our video opened with a title page, showing the MVHS Fly Fishing Club Logo.  The video contained various pictures and videos edited together to show what the Fly Fishing Club is about.  It even features a clip of Chatham Head’s very own George Murdock casting.
