For the two weeks prior to exams, students will be heavily preparing for their ELPA (English Language Proficiency Assessment).  This assessment is written by all grade nine students in the province.  Our students will write it on Monday, January 23rd at 12:30pm.  This week we have focused on word work (prefixes, suffixes, root words, figuring out vocabulary words in context). Next week, we will be reviewing terminology, figurative language, and multiple choice strategies.  If you want more information on the ELPA, you can find it at this website: http://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/education/k12/content/anglophone_sector/assessment_evaluation.html#3

So there will be a few changes to our final week as a result of the school cancellation today.  The test will now take place on Wednesday, December 21st. The project will still be due on Thursday.  I am attaching an outline for the test, but all students will receive a paper copy on Monday after we finish watching the movie.
