Attached are two worksheets to practise calculating distance, time and speed (vitesse), as well as working with these in graphs.  Today we discussed how to express very large or very small values in scientific notation and how to determine significant figures, and express them when rounded off to an x number of places.     We will be working with these concepts for the next few days in different types of problems, and should be ready to be tested early next week - Tuesday, Dec. 13th.

Today we determined which element students will research for their unit-end project - assembling a chemical element mobile - see attached instructions.  This will be due next Wednesday, Nov. 23rd.  They will be provided with some time in class to research and work on this project - pd. 6, tomorrow and pd. 3 on Friday.  We will be starting Ch. 8 - "Les reactions chimiques et l'environnement" tomorrow and Monday - it is a very brief chapter and we will then be preparing for the Unit 2 exam, to be written by the end of next week.
