To Parent/Guardians,
This spring, our traditional Parent/Teacher, which is scheduled for Thursday evening (April 15th) and Friday morning (April 16th) for Miramichi Valley High School, will be different due to COVID-19.
We are being advised by the Department of Education to not have face-to-face interviews. However, below are two options I am providing so parents/guardians can contact me.
The first and best option would be to communicate with me directly through email should you wish to discuss your child’s progress in my class. If you wish to talk to me directly, you can email me with your name and number and a general time that works best for you (within the parent teacher times listed below) and I will try my best to get back to you. My email is shelley.casey@nbed.nb.ca
If email is not possible, you can contact the main office at 627-4083 during regular school hours to set up a “call-in-time”. Keep in mind, that the office staff might be taking other calls, so please leave a voicemail with your details and I will do my best to get back to you.
Please keep in mind that regular parent teacher interview hours are
on Thursday April 15 from 4:00pm- 6:00pm and Friday April 16th from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and “call-in time” will be made for these hours.
Thank you,
Shelley Casey

All virtual classes can be found using Microsoft Teams. Here is what you need to do:
Step 1 - Download Microsoft Teams on your computer or your phone (it's free!)
Step 2 - Open the app and log in using your student username and password from school. When it asks for your username you must type out the whole username .... example: johdoe54212@nbss.nbed.nb.ca
Your password is the same as the one you use in the computer lab (hopefully you remember this ......)
Step 3 - Locate the class - you should see you class appear as I have already added you to the virtual classroom. Take a look at the different tabs in the class.
If you have issues getting in, email me at shelley.casey@nbed.nb.ca
See you in Microsoft Teams!

Hoping everyone had a chance to view the Super Moon last night, and you can send me your pictures on Remind or in teams or to my email.
On Teams the information listed below is in assignments as well as a second assignment that is a form you pick answers and submitted, both were scheduled as of 11:30 today.
I have also made a post asking for you to check in on Teams.
Stay well!

Hello and welcome back!
The last few weeks have been unusual to say the least, I hope you are all as well as can be expected. We are about to embark on a new adventure- Home Learning! It will literally be a learning process for us all and it requires patience, determination and perseverance.
I have set up Office 365 Teams for each class and hope you will access it in the next day or so if you are able to . Teams will be used as needed for addition materials, conferencing, etc. It can be downloaded as an app.
See this link and an attachment for email and Office 365 to help you and your parents/guardians navigate the sites.
Please feel free to contact me via email, teams or remind. shelley.casey@nbed.nb.ca
Remind codes for Science 9 is @fcc398
I will post some materials tomorrow to start back into the learning process.
Stay well, get some fresh air and take things one day at a time.
