Env. Sci. 120 - Sept. 17

LIBRARY:  Started to research an environmental issue...see yesterday's handout for ideas.  Be sure to use the Research Resources under documents for EBSCO searches as well as other great sources of information.HOMEWORK:  Must complete library plan with details of what you got accomplished today.  Make note of any websites so you can use this document to reference your information.

Env. Sci. 120 - Sept. 16

More discussion of environmental issues and resources available for starting your research paper.  Tomorrow we will be in the library to begin work on this so bring any materials you might need for deciding on a topic.  Started into populations by discussing our ecological footprint.  Watched some clips from the Story of Stuff...links are in the lesson.HOMEWORK:  Submit new class logo for EcoPoints by tomorrow...winner picked Friday!

Env. Sci. 120 - Sept. 15

Discussed the pros to having a forestry industry (Land and Sea) versus the cons of deforestation (Lorax).  Read an article on Genetically Modified Salmon...begin thinking about an environmental issue you are interested in.  We will discuss research resources tomorrow and on Thursday we will begin researching a topic.
