BURSARY APPLICATION

Section I: Student Information
- Print clearly or type all information requested
- You must reside in New Brunswick and be a Canadian Citizen
Section II: College/University Information
- Provide the name and address of the College, Trade School, Technical School, Community College or University you will be attending.
- Bursaries are awarded to students attending facilities on a full time basis.
- Post graduate studies do not qualify.
- $500.00 bursaries are awarded to successful applicants.
Section III: Financial Information
- This section must be completed
Section IV: Military Service Information
- This section must be completed
NOTE:
- Bursaries are awarded based on financial need, with special consideration given to children and grandchildren of Veterans.
- All documentation to be included
- Ensure that the application is signed in the appropriate places
- Incomplete applications will not be considered - no follow-up will be taken

If you are a successful applicant, you will receive a letter of offer in mid to late August. Read carefully and follow the instructions. If you accept the offer of the Bursary the cheque will be made payable to, and mailed directly to, the University, College, etc. that you have chosen to attend. You will also be required to provide a copy of the “notice of acceptance” at the University, College, etc. that you will be attending.

Lee Johnston Ltd. is offering a $500 Scholarship to a grade 12 student in good academic standing, who has been accepted into a forestry program. Preference will be given to Forestry Students.
Applications must include:
- Completed Application
- Transcript of Marks
- Essay – 250 Words
Completed applications must be returned to Miramichi Valley High School Main Office by 3pm on May 19th, 2023 for consideration. Prior to selection, applicants will have an interview with Lee Johnston.

Eligible candidates are high school graduates who are sons, daugthers, grandsons or granddaughters of members (or deceased members) of Fr. B. M. Broderick Council 1219 (Chatham); and, who are planning to attend a post-secondary institution. Applications are due Friday, May 19th, 2023. Please mark Attn:Scholarship Committee on the envelope.

Volunteer Miramichi Inc. is pleased to offer a Bursary to a high school student enrolled in a post-secondary program in the Fall of 2023.
This $500 bursary will reward a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the community, without any monetary reward. The recipient will be selected on the basis of volunteer experience and academic standing.
Eligibility
To qualify, student must:
· Be actively committed to volunteerism; outside of school, and have a record from the organization presented with their bursary application.
· Be enrolled in a post-secondary program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
· Have a written specific circumstance, telling of a volunteer experience they have encountered.
· Have a letter of recommendation from high school Principal, Guidance Counsellor, or Teacher.

Environmental Services Association Maritimes Scholarship Program--To Provide a $500 scholarship to three deserving high school graduates intending to pursue a post-secondary education in a science or environmental program. Three scholarships will be awarded, one in each Maritime province.
Criteria:
· Applicant must be a resident of the Maritimes
· Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in the year of award.
· Applicant must be furthering their education in a science or environmental field of study.
Please include with your application:
· Completed Application Form
· Proof of Acceptance to a Post-Secondary Institution
· Letter of recommendation from a teacher or community member
· A 250-500 word essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue an education in the science/environmental field.

Eligibility Criteria:
• This Scholarship is offered to a student who is furthering his Agricultural Education at a University (or) College.
• Available for students whose parents are (or) were a registered growers with Potatoes New Brunswick.
• Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis and provide a copy of enrollment from College (or) University.
How to Apply:
• Applicant must submit there application to: gfpotato@potatoesnb.com before July 31st, 2023.
• Please include - your name, address, High School diploma year and School attended - name of parents (Farms name with Potatoes NB registration forms) - courses intented to be taken - Explain how this degree will be used in the agricultural sector - copy of enrollment acceptance.

This award is valued at $1000. The recipient must reside in the Douglastown service area. The selection is based on financial need and character. Applications are due to the MVHS main office by 3:00pm on Monday, May 15th, 2023.

MVHS is allowed to nominate one student to apply for a Joyce Foundation Bursary. If you plan to attend UNB in the fall of 2023, and would like to put your name forward to be considered for this scholarship, please let Ms. O’Donnell know by next Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023.
See bursary criteria below:
• Bursaries will be awarded based on financial need and personal circumstances;
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program of study at UNB;
• Renewal is based on maintaining good academic standing (minimum assessment year GPA of 2.0);
• Recipient must commit to work with at least one mentor in an extracurricular activity throughout their program of study;
• Bursaries awarded are to be applied against tuition and ancillary fees.
