To: Officials who will be graduating grade 12 and will be attending a registered post[1]secondary educational institution this fall.

Re: NBHOA Academic Scholarships The NBHOA now awards three (3) academic scholarships, they are named after long time NBHOA officials & directors Paul O’Blenis, Sonny McLellan Memorial and Scott McKay Memorial each for the value of $1000.00 each. To be eligible to receive one of these scholarships you must be an NBHOA Official in good standing, a grade 12 student who is graduating and attending a recognized post-secondary institution in the upcoming year.

Application deadline is May 1st, 2022.

 

There are a few scholarships available at the link below. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 29th, 2022.

High School Graduates who are sons, daughters, grandsons or granddaughters of members (or deceased members) of Fr. B.M. Broderick Council 1219 (Chatham); and, who are planning to attend University, College or Community College may apply.

Please enclose the following documentation:

  • Proof of acceptance from Post-Secondary Institution;
  • Transcript of final (or most recent) grades;
  • Resume of school-related and other employment, activities and achievements;
  • A letter of reference from a teacher or principal;
  • A letter of reference from an employer OR extra-curricular activity supervisor from outside the school community;
  • Evidence of financial need.
  • Deadline for applications:  The Friday before the Victoria Day weekend in May.  Please mark

Lee Johnston Ltd. is offering a $500 Scholarship to a grade 12 student in good academic standing, who has been accepted into a forestry program.  Preference will be given to Forestry Students.

Applications must include:

1.      Completed Application

2.      Transcript of Marks

3.      Essay – 250 Words

Completed applications must be returned to Miramichi Valley High School Main Office by 3pm on May 20th,2022 for consideration.  Prior to selection, applicants will have an interview with Lee Johnston.

A $1000 scholarship will be offered to a grade 12 student who is attending a recognized post-secondary institution.

Criteria:

  •  Completed Application
  • Graduating from Miramichi Valley High School.
  • Applicants must have contributed to the social setting and the positive environment of the school or community, show concern for others, and have a good work ethic. Please include a one-page write-up outlining your contributions to the school or community.
  •  Consideration of financial need.

Completed applications must be returned to the main office or Ms. O’Donnell by 3pm on Friday, May 20th, 2022, for consideration.

There are two scholarships students may be eligible for if they are attending a post-secondary institution relating to agriculture or dairy. Due date is May 20th, 2022.
To Provide a $500 scholarship to three deserving high school graduates intending to pursue a post-secondary education in a science or environmental program.
Three scholarships will be awarded, one in each Maritime province.
Criteria:
• Applicant must be a resident of the Maritimes.
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in the year of award.
• Applicant must be furthering their education in a science or environmental field of study. Please include with your application:
• Completed Application Form
• Proof of Acceptance to a Post-Secondary Institution
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or community member
• A 250-500 word essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue an education in the science/environmental field.

The City of Miramichi Inside Workers CUPE Local 3863 has (1) bursary valued at $500.00 in memory of John James Bryenton. The bursary is for the students' first year attendance at any university, college, or community college. Preference will be given to sons and daughters or legal wards of members of CUPE Local 3863. Basis of award is marks, aptitude, promise and financial need. Application forms are available from members of the Education Committee of Local 3863 or your high school guidance counsellor. The application must be returned to the Education Committee of Local 3863 no later than April 29, 2022.

All Anglophone and Francophone New Brunswick high school graduate students accepted (or on a waiting list) in the current year at any campus of the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design are eligible. 

This the only scholarship put out for these institutions. Completed application forms must be submitted to the main office no later than 3:00pm on Friday, May 27th, 2022.
