Today we looked at different style of leads with mentor texts. We also practiced creating some as a group.
Homework: Have 2 snapshots completed for tomorrow from the place extended narrative.
Upcoming this week:
1. Drafts for extended narrative to be passed in on Thursday.
2. Practice close reading of "Eleven" to be given tomorrow and handed in on Wednesday. Worth marks
3. Close reading test: Read like a Writer- Modeled after the "Eleven" close reading.
4. Good copies of extended narratives due next Thursday.

Today we read the short story "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury. We will work in groups tomorrow to look at his craft and style as a writer.
