We are moving on to finding a missing side using trig.  Watch the video and try the sheet attached.  Again, you have to show your work and I am not providing the answer keys.  The first two answers are 1) 4.5 and 2) 4.7.

This is another sheet of doing compound interest.  Watch the vidoe in the previous lesson if you haven't done so.

The 2nd page shows some examples of some questions you will see.  Have a look at this first so you know what to do.

Again, I am not providing the answer key as students are just coping my answers down without any work.  Send a pic to me when you are done.

I am not providing the answer key but I will give you the first two answers here so you can ensure you are on the right track.  Please show your work - write out the formula, fill in the formula with the numbers and then write the answer.

1.  A = $64,069.24 and I = 7369.24

2.  FV = $5,078.44 and I = 678.44

Online Lesson 9 for Grade 11 students:

Simple Interest Lesson continued . . . This lesson is showing you how to find Principle, Rate and Time in addition to Interest.

Give the sheet a try.  I have set up a sheet for you do show your work on if you can print it off.  If not, follow the same setup on a sheet of looseleaf.  You must show your work but can check your answers with my key.

Note:  You have to use the brackets on your calculator for the bottom numbers!  And for some of the questions, you will have to convert your time answers to months.  To get from years to months, multiply by 12.
