Well, we do have a fishing report from our trip last Saturday on the Main Southwest Miramichi.  Pools fished included:  Campbell's, Keenan's, Hogue, Hallihan's, Halfbar and Wade's.  Water height was perfect and water temperature was great, but, the salmon numbers were not in our favor.  We did manage to see a fish roll on it's own, hooked a few brook trout as well as some salmon parr.  Be sure to check out the pictures of the trip in our gallery.  We are planning another trip to the Main Southwest in either late July or early August (when salmon numbers will be in our favor).  This week will bring a close to the school year but not our fishing season.  We are hoping that all members will try to spend some time on the water this summer.  We will continue with the club earlier next year with some fall fishing on the Cains and some winter fly tying.  Best wishes to our alumni members this year who include:  Eric Gillis, Anthony McLean, Michael Savoie and Chris Urquhart.  Thanks to all those who participated and we are encouraging any new members to get involved next school year.   "Any day on the water is a good day"...  TIGHT LINES!
On Saturday, June 5, the MVHS Fly Fishing club traveled to the Main Southwest Miramichi for some early June salmon fishing.  The pools fished included...  Campbell's, Keenan's, Jardine's, Hogue, Hallihan's, Halfbar and Wade's.  We had 8 current members, one alumni member, a parent and 6 expert...
