Dieppe Fly Fishing Forum: Mar. 23 - 25All members are reminded of the Fly Fishing Forum at the Moncton Coliseum this weekend.  If you are planning to attend, stop by Mr. Hallihan's classroom by Thursday to let him know.  We are planning to meet up on Saturday morning at the show.  Reminder to those students planning to help out with the fly tying demonstrations at the Eel Ground School next Friday - you must inform Mr. Hallihan by Tuesday, March 27.

I have posted some flies that we have tied over the last few months...
On March 30th & 31st, the Eel Ground School will be hosting a Fly Fishing & Sportsman Show.  Fly tying instructions and displays will be the theme for Friday, March 30th.  Sportsman displays and demonstrations will be the theme for Saturday, March 31st. Be sure to check it out!!!

Eel Ground Fly Fishing ShowOur club is planning to be involved with the student fly tying demo that will be taking place on March 30th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.  I have included a poster with the schedule and details.  Be sure to check it out!!!

We tied a Nor'west favourite back in January...the Black Ghost.  I must say that these flies are looking good and will definitely be in our fly box for the annual trip to the Nor'west in June.
Santa Fly FishingWe'll will be back again in 2012 and we will continue to work on filling that fly box with the popular patterns.  Any members interested in taking home a fly tying kit for the holidays are asked to see Mr. Hallihan before Friday.  Merry Christmas to all and many tight lines in 2012!!!

This past Tuesday we worked on the most popular Miramichi Salmon Fly...the infamous Green Machine.  We did not take the easy way out this week by using chenille material.  Instead, we used dyed deer body, spun the material onto the hook, packed the material and trimmed the body.  We did have a...
