Write about a time you felt or wanted to be a different age because of the situation or emotion.Thursday: "Saving Private Ryan" opening scene. Write the action from the perspective of one of the soldiers. Students should all have a topic to write about for their snapshot moment.

Today we shared our 6 word memoirs and put them up on the wall We also read a mentor text called "Violet" and highlighted the strong verbs, adjectives and phrases that made it a good piece of writing. We wrote down a strong sentence from "Viloet" into the Gems section of the Writer's Notebook.
