1. You are a member of the Dead Poets Society. You are in the headmaster's office. Your parents are there. You are asked to sign the document. What are your thoughts at this moment? Do you sign? Why? What do you think Todd did? Why? 2. You are a talented actor. It is your chosen career. Your father wants you to study medicine. You have been offered the lead in a play. You are determined to act in the play, but you need your father's permission. You know he won't give it. What do you do? Why? How does your decision compare with Neil's? Why are they similar or different? 3. You have just met the most beautiful girl you have ever seen. You decide to ring her up. She invites you to a party. You know she already has a boyfriend who will be there. What do you do? How does you decision compare with Charlie's? Why is it similar or different? 4. Imagine a meeting between Todd and Charlie in ten years' time. How have they changed? 5. What would John Keating do next? Where would he go? What job would he do? How would the incident at his old school impact on his life?

Test is on Tuesday, December 14 Test Outline:  Part A:  Multiple Choice Part B:  Short Answer Questions.  You will have choice and your answers should be a paragraph long.Part C:  1 Essay.  You will have choice.  Include minimum of 1 quotes from the play to support your answer.    Study Tips:1.  Study literary terms2.  Review questions 3.  Review sticky note quotes4.  Re-read scene summaries 5.  Character log 6.  In class assignments Final Sticky Note Quote:  "Then I defy you stars" (5.1.24)   Essay:  Choose ONE of the following essay questions and write a properly organized response.  This should be at least one page in length single spaced, and should include an introduction, a minimum of three examples from the text to support your answer, use a minimum of one quote from the play (in-text citation) and a conclusion. 1.  Romeo and Juliet are referred to as “star cross’d lovers”.  What is the role of fate/destiny in the play?  Using examples from the play, demonstrate how Romeo and Juliet are ill-fated. 2.  Who suffered the most in this play?  Cite specific examples from the play to support your opinion. 3.  Friar Laurence serves many dramatic purposes in the play. Examine the Friar and his role in Romeo and Juliet. 4.  Who do you feel is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet?  Explain why.
