On Tuesday, October 12, students will be provided progress reports in each of their classes. These reports are not an official report card, they are simply an informal update of student progress in each of their courses since the school year has began.
Miramichi Valley High School is proud to present our Pulamoo Flag Contest. Students are asked to submit their designs for the first ever MVHS flag. Rules are simple. Designs are to be limited to any combination of White, Blue and Gold. Our new Symbol (The M with the V inside) must be used, and no words can appear in the design. Submissions can be made using white paper or electronically (Adobe Illustrator is preferred). Contest closes on October 22nd, 2010. First prize is a $50 gift certificate for the school store. You are invited to attend the MVHS AARAO Career Expo, taking place the evening of October 5th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Miramichi Valley High School Gym. Over 40 universities, colleges, and private schools from the Atlantic Provinces will be there with information and to answer any of your questions and concerns.
If you have a pair of steel-toe work-boots in good shape that you are not using, the school would love to have them. It is mandatory for all shop students to have proper footwear in all shop areas this year. If you have any questions or donations, please ask for Mr. Jamieson.
Our open house will take place on Tuesday, September 28th at the school.
The Parent School Support Committe (PSSC) election will take place at 6:30 with the open house to follow. All parent/guardians and students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please bring your son/daughter's timetable with you.
The boys baseball team will be competing in the Nothern Zone Championships this weekend. The top two teams will move on to the Regionals. Here is the boys schedule for September 26 and 27.

Once again this year a group of students have had their names added to the Mathematics Wall of Excellence for the 2009-10 school year. Any student that achieves a mark of 90% or better in any Mathematics course at Miramchi Valley High School is recognized for their outstanding effort and added to our Wall of Excellence. The honourees from last year are listed in the document below. Please report any ommissions or errors to Mr. R. Stewart.
The staff at Miramcihi Valley High School have devised an academic incentive program that will provide academic rewards to students that maintain excellent attendance in all of their courses for the 2010-11 school year.
