The Mary Majka Scholarship Fund is open to New Brunswick students from middle school to those attending an undergraduate program. Awards will be granted on a yearly basis ranging from $250 to $1000, depending on the number of applicants and funds available.

Scholarships will be awarded in three distinct categories:

  1. High School graduates, upon entering a post-secondary education program focusing on nature conservation;
  2. Post-secondary students who is already enrolled in aa post-secondary education program focused on nature conservation; or
  3. Students in middle or high school, for a project focused on nature conservation.

 

Applications are accepted annually. The deadline to apply is March 31st of the current calendar year. Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. Decisions will be made and successful applicants will be notified by the end of May.

Please complete the application form and submit it with all supporting documentation, either by email or postal mail.

The RBC Future Launch Scholarship will be awarded to those who show a clear vision for their future.

·         For Canadian youth between 15 – 29 years old

·         Enrolled part time in school or not in school at all

·         A Canadian Citizen or Permanent resident

·         Grades and transcripts are not required

·         Hundreds of scholarships available throughout the year

·         Not working at RBC or a dependent of someone working at RBC

The $1,500 scholarship can be used for many different things, including:

·         Short-term courses

·         Workshops

·         Certificates

·         Necessary equipment or books

Boom & Bucket is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to a student pursuing a heavy machinery-themed program. This scholarship is available to both currently enrolled students and future students who are planning to attend a program within the next 12 months. The program can be at a college or a trade school anywhere in the United States or Canada. 

To apply, students must write a 500+ word essay or record a 2-minute video explaining who you are and what makes you excited about the heavy equipment space. Please submit your application by 12:00PM central time on March 31st of each calendar year. Winners will be chosen by April 15th. The winning scholarship will be paid directly to the school as a tuition payment.

The BridgesEDU $1,000 Scholarship for Canadian Students is designed to help one winning applicant pay for education costs. At BridgesEDU Scholarships, our mission is to help Canadian students graduate with less debt and more career opportunities. So, we’re offering a scholarship open to all Canadian students attending a post-secondary institution in September 2024.Amount: $1,000 Deadline: June 30, 2024

 

Eligibility

 Applicant must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution (college or university) in September 2024. 

  • If you are currently in grade 12, you are eligible for this award provided you will be attending college or university in September 2024. 
  • Graduate students are ineligible. 
  • International students and mature students are eligible for award provided they meet all other eligibility requirements.
  • All required documents must be submitted by June 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Late applications will not be considered for this award.

  • A maximum 500 word essay answering the question: why do you deserve this scholarship?
  • Winning candidate must submit proof of enrollment and official transcript from last 2 academic years (do not submit unless you’re contacted).

Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick 2024–2025 Scholarship — LDANB-TAANB

·         Open to New Brunswick Students in grade 12 entering post-secondary  education

·         Have a diagnosed learning disability (documentation required to support diagnosis)

·         Complete submission essay

LCL Excavation Scholarship Program, offering a $500 opportunity for high school students interested in pursuing a civil engineering technology or degree at either college or university.

One scholarship per region valued at $1000 each are available annually for full time attendance at a Post-Secondary Institution, University or Community College.

 

Those eligible are:

 1. Union members in good standing with CUPE Local 2745

 2. Sons, daughters or legal wards of members in good standing of CUPE Local 2745.

    Documentation may be requested

                                

Basis of awards: Consideration will be given to reflection paper, marks, financial need and aptitude.

 

 Applications must be completed on the current form and must be post marked on or before May 6th, 2024.

A $100 bursary is open to any members of Guiding in Coastal Shore Area, who are graduating and going on to post-secondary education (does not have to be university).  

Applications must include:

1.      Completed Application

2.      Proof of acceptance is required. Late acceptance might be considered.

3.      Candidates must send a handwritten letter stating their involvement in Guiding, community, and school activities, as well as their educational plans. Marks may not play a role in the awarding of this bursary. No typed or emailed applications will be accepted.

This scholarship is designed to provide financial support to Indigenous students, residing in New Brunswick, in the pursuit of their academic dreams. It can be used to cover tuition fees, books and supplies, and other expense related to higher education. This initiative is part of Assumption Life and it’s Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support communities, in response to the Truth and Reconciliation’s call to action.

Criteria:

·         Be an Indigenous, Metis or Inuit student.

·         Be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.

·         Be between the ages of 17 and 29.

·         Have a permanent address in New Brunswick

·         Be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institution in Canada (university, vocational school, college).

·         Be enrolled in a program of at least two years’ duration.

Valued at $5000. Applications must be received by the Assumption Life Foundation no later than May 30th, 2024 and must include the following elements: personal statement, validation of Indigeneity, letters of recommendation and a transcript. Completed applications are able to be sent to fondation@assumption.ca

Number, Value and Duration of Scholarships: Twenty (20) TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school (outside Quebec) or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community. Each scholarship has a value of up to $70,000 and includes:

- Up to $10,000 for tuition per year (for up to a maximum of four years)
- $7,500 for living expenses per year (for up to a maximum of four years)

All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by 1:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Please pay close attention to the requirements: required essay, transcript and three (3) reference letters. It would be beneficial for you also to complete the optional essays. Make sure you ask people for reference letters in lots of time.

The Loran Scholars Foundation awards up to 150 financial awards each year to promising young Canadians who show strength of character and a commitment to service in their communities, challenging them to fully realize their leadership potential.
Eligibility:
  • be graduating in 2024
  • minimum cumulative average of 85%
  • hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  • be born between January 1, 2002 and September 1, 2008.
See loranscholar.ca/becoming-a-scholar for more information. The application is entirely online. You will need to request a reference from a teacher asap; the teacher will receive a link to do the reference electronically. All parts of the application must be submitted prior to 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, including the teacher reference.

A $250 bursary will be offered to a grade 12 student who is attending a recognized post-secondary institution in the fall.

Criteria:

·         Completed Application

·         Graduating from Miramichi Valley High School.

·         Applicants must:

§  give back to the community through music

§  high academic achievement

§  be involved in extracurricular activities (especially drama, music, dance)

§  excellent attendance at school

Completed applications must be returned to the main office by 3pm on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, for consideration.

The scholarship application must be completed online at Application Form Management (thenbccfoundationinc.ca) by May 27th, 2023. One graduate from each high school will be awarded this $1000 scholarship each year. The selection criteria is based on:
Academic Record (40%)
Extracurricular Activities (30%)
Financial Need (30%)
