This scholarship is valued at $500 and is awarded to an applicant entering a university nursing program upon successful completion of the first semester of the program.  Application forms are available in Guidance.  Deadline is May 26th, 2017.

Valued at $500 to a grade 12 student in good academic standing, who has been accepted into a forestry program.  Preference will be given to Forestry students.  Applications must be returned to Miramichi Valley High School Main Office by 3:00pm on May 12, 2017.  Applications are available in Guidance.

Hockey New Brunswick Scholarships—Applicants must be grade 12 students, be pursuing post-secondary studies in 2017-2018, must have been a hockey player in the 2016-2017 season.  Applications are attached and the deadline is April 14, 2017.

Valued at $1000 awarded to a high school graduate accepted (or on a waiting list) in the current year at any campus of the NBCC, CCNB, or the NB College of Craft and Design.  An application is attached, will be available on the school website or in Guidance.  Applications must be handed in to Miss O’Donnell no later than May 27, 2017.

The Gender Equality Scholarship is to encourage and support both females and males pursuing a non-traditional career at a New Brunswick college.  The application, guidelines and a list of eligible programs is attached and on the school website.  Scholarship deadline is June 30, 2017.

National Union of Public and General Employees is offering five scholarships of $1500 each to students who plan to enter the 1st year of a public, post-secondary educational institution full-time in 2017-2018 and who are children/grandchildren, or foster children/grandchildren of a National Union member.  In order to be eligible, one of your parents/grandparents must belong to or retired from one fo the National Union Components or affiliates.  Applications are available in Guidance and online at http://www.nupge.ca/content/12999/national-unions-scholarship-program-2017 .  Application deadline is July 7, 2017.

The five scholarships are:

  • National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarship for Visible Minorities

  • National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians

  • National Union of Public and General Employees Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship

  • National Union of Public and General Employees Brian Fudge Memorial Scholarship—eligibility: all those entering a field of study in policing, criminal justice services, community services or health care services. 

  • National Union of Public and General Employees Tommy Douglas Scholarship
