The Tommy Douglas Scholarship for $1,500 is open to all students who plan to enter the first year of a Canadian public post-secondary education institution full-time in 2013 - 2014 and who are the children or foster children of a NUPGE member. It will be awarded for the best 750 - 1,000 word essay on: How Tommy Douglas contributed to making Canada a more just and equitable society. Deadline June 30

The Lutz Mountain Heritage Foundation Inc. in conjunction with the Michael Lutz (1766) Descendants are pleased to announce the Lutz/Lutes Family Scholarship for 2013.  This scholarship, valued at $1,000.00, is awarded annually to a deserving highschool student who will use said award towards the costs of furthering their education ar an accredited college, university or other educational institution in Atlantic Canada.   Deadline April 1

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada - Scholarship Awards Brain tumour survivors between the ages of 16 and 25 who are pursuing post-secondary education are invited to apply for Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada’s new Education Award opportunities, offered for the first time in 2013. The aim of the program is to help young brain tumour survivors achieve their dreams through post-secondary education. The awards of up to $5,000 are open to students who will be enrolled full-time in a publicly funded Canadian university, college or CEGEP in the 2013 fall academic term. Students are eligible if they are in their graduating year of High School, or are currently enrolled full-time in a recognized publicly funded Canadian university, college or CEGEP in the 2012/2013 academic year and planning to continue their full-time undergraduate studies in the fall of 2013. Applications are due May 17, 2013. More information, including guidelines and application forms, can be found at http://www.braintumour.ca/EdAwards.   
Individuals actively pursuing an education and/or certification in records and information management residing within the Province of New Brunswick or members of the Atlantic Chapter are eligible for a scholarship.  Students enrolled in a full-time program are eligible for a five hundred dollar ($500) scholarship; students enrolled in a part-time program such as correspondence and online courses and the Fundamentals of Records and Information Management courses offered at NBCC are eligible for a two hundred fifty dollar ($250) scholarship; and/or individuals pursuing certification (CRM) are eligible for up to a two hundred fifty dollar ($250) scholarship.  The number of scholarships awarded per year shall be determined by the Education Fund Sub-Committee.   Deadline March 31
Three 1000.00 scholarships to students who are going to study tourism at a post-secondary institution.  Deadline for this application is April 30, 2013
