Last week we used some deer body to tie green machines and smurfs.  We will meet again on Tuesday, Dec. 18 where we will be tying some flies for that angler on your Christmas list...

This week we decided to ty some chenille bugs...green machines, shady ladies and some infamous 'mean' lime green machines.  Next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 14th.  We will be tying our first hairwing salmon fly...
As we say good-bye to another salmon fishing season (which was not great to say the least), we are excited to have lots of interest in the Fly Fishing Club this year!  We met last Wednesday after school and many new members tied their very own salmon fly for the first time.  We are planning to meet...
River MapWe are planning to fish the Main Southwest Miramichi on Monday, July 23rd.  All club members are to meet at the Nine Pine for 7:15.  Be sure to bring your license and all your gear.  BBQ will be provided at the Hallihan's camp.  Click on the image to look at the river map of the section that we will be fishing...
On July 2nd, Stephen Miller hooked into and landed a beautiful 12 lb salmon on the Northwest Miramichi.  Stephen is a rookie member of the MVHS Fly Fishing Club but is a veteran on the Northwest.  After landing many grilse over the past few summers, Stephen enjoyed this fish as it was his first...
June 11 on the Main Southwest Miramichi proved to be productive...Jason Curtis released a salmon at Campbell's in the morning while rolling another, Jennifer Curtis released a salmon later that evening at Campbell's and I released a beauty at our pool last night.  Awesome fish!!!
