Many thanks to fellow ROV user David Murphy for taking the time to Skype with us this morning!  Very informative and a great opportunity for students to ask questions.  I have attached the topics discussed so we can reference this document next week when working on our ROV.  Excited to try to fix some of issues and follow-up with a dive!

New batteries are shorter than the ones designed for the 2.6 ROV.  Our first stage of development will be to upgrade the battery tube connectors.  Here is the link to the steps involved...http://openrov.dozuki.com/Guide/Battery+Tube+Adapter+for+Li-FePO4+Batter...

Last day of working on the promotional video in class.  Make sure you save it to My Documents on your H:drive in the Computer Science folder.  EACH student must give a Blog post by first of class Monday...give a description of the video, come up with a title for the video and include a 10 second clip of the video in the post.We are now on Twitter...follow us @MVHS_ROV (5 TechPoints for following and giving the first tweet a retweet).Pass in TechPoint inventories so I can sign off on what is completed!

Reminder on how to find the shortcut to the folder with documents, pictures and videos needed for the promotional video...Computer --> Shared Data --> Applications --> Shortcuts --> 0811Classes --> Computer Science 110 --> AssignmentsNOTE:  Make sure that you save the project folder to your account (my documents --> computer science 110).Now bring in the content and edit to make the promotional video.  See previous post for details on what should be included and what needs to be done.  Pitch the video in the sense of 'why wouldn't you join the MVHS Fly Fishing Club when you can do stuff like this!'New Deadline is Monday...since we had some tech issues.
