Remember that I will be away all this week as I am marking the ELPA.  If you need me, you can reach me by email - krista.cabel@nbed.nb.ca English 9: Read chapter 7  and finish the quotations analysis for Monday.  Writing 110: Start thinking about topics for your extended narrative - it can be place, personal, or fiction.

This is an important message for all girls who have been trying out for volleyball this season.  Tryouts will continue tomorrow evening (Friday) from 6:00-8:00pm.  Please read the attached list - if your name is on the list, please come to tryouts tomorrow.  If you cannot make it, please see myself or Mrs. Mac by tomorrow.  Remember that we are making three teams this year - Varsity, Junior Varsity 1, and Junior Varsity 2.

English 9: Today we read up to the end of chapter 4.  Tomorrow, I will be checking to see that you have some blocks filled in under the second column (character traits) of your character chart.

English 9: Currently, we have read to the end of chapter 3 in The Outsiders.  Today, students handed in critical reading questions on chapters 1-3, and we also completed an assignment on motif.  Tomorrow, we will be moving on with chapter 4.   Writing 110: Students have been working away at the drafts of their snapshot moments.  The final writing piece will be due on Monday.

English 9:  Today we dove into The Outsiders.  The students were assigned their own books - these books are your responsibility!  We read part of chapter one today and the students were given a character chart.  This chart will be used to track character traits as we move through the novel.            Period 1 Homework: Fill in the first side of the character chart (physical traits only)            Period 4 Homework: Fill in the physical traits for the Curtis brothers (Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry)
